Our Story
"How deep is my lure right now? Am I near the bottom?"
That's the question PROBE was built to answer, back in 2018. A simple, common question — yet no one had ever really answered it. Every angler's expensive lure was behaving underwater on pure guesswork.
We're a small team of engineers, an award-winning designer, and software developers — some lifelong anglers, others new to fishing through this project. We knew anglers spend hundreds of dollars a year on lures without ever knowing how they actually behave underwater. You cast, retrieve your $15 investment, and hope for the best. We couldn't shake the idea that today's technology should change that.
So we filed a patent and got obsessed with the answer.
Rather than ordering finished units from China, we launched a Kickstarter — and it worked. Stubborn about owning the manufacturing ourselves, we built a small factory and assembly workshop here in Sweden. A year later, we shipped our first batch. Today, PROBE is trusted by thousands of anglers worldwide.
